Growing up in the country can create for some interesting times. One of the crazy things that most experience when living in the country is the dealing with snakes. There are so many different types of snakes, and some can cause no harm, while others can put you in the hospital. Snakes for the most part are friendly just as long as you don’t stir them up and irritate them. You have to remember, what would you do if someone almost stepped on you? You would get them to stop by whatever means you have available. The fear of snakes is not rational, as they are friendly unless you threaten their life and well being, this is not all snakes, but the majority.

We had three types of snakes growing up. There was the black snake, the garden snake, and the copperhead. The whole time growing up I saw the copperhead snake for a total of two times, once on the creek side and once under a rock. Both times were very scary for me because I heard of how dangerous they were, I ran as fast as I could and never looked back. I saw black snakes and garden snakes dozens of times with any fear at all. If you do get bitten by a snake; then there are cures available, and you will be back to your healthy self in no time.
