Last year, Intelius Incorporated, a web-based public records supplier from Bellevue, Washington, claimed that it was included at the 2008 Deloitte LLP Technology Fast 500, ranking at #126. Deloitte LLP’s listing ranks the top 500 fastest improving North American businesses in the technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences industries. The rankings are based on the percentage of the fiscal year earnings of each business in the range of five years. For the 2003-2007 timespan, Intelius Inc, had a growth record of 1566.27%.

The company’s chief executive officer, Naveen Jain, was delighted for the recognition Intelius earned and was as well grateful for Deloitte that his company was honored among other esteemed businesses. The success that his company has acquired, he said, was because of its high commitment to supplying the best information that protects, empowers, and connects consumers and leaders.

In response to the comment of Intellius’ co-founder, Phil Asmundson, the Deloitte LLP vice chairman and national managing partner for Technology, Media, and Telecommunications, stated that Fast 500 acknowledges the quality performance and development of businesses that compose North America’s competitive and intensely innovative industry. On behalf of the Deloitte staff, Asmundson congratulated the company for achieving such a standard.

Generally, the businesses that were included on last year’s list showed growth rates from 242 to 138,762% within five years, with an average growth of 3,043%. In choosing the Fast 500 eligible companies, the companies were collected from Deloitte’s local North American Fast 50 and the chosen companies were automatically included in the Fast 500. Some of the other companies were selected based on their percentage income increase from 2003 and 2007.

Apart from being listed on the Fast 500, Intellius ranked fifth on Deloitte’s Rising Star list and eighth on the Washington Technology Fast 50.
